About Rail North: Leeds 2022

The Government have today (18 November 2021) announced through the Integrated Rail Plan an investment of £96bn, describing it as the biggest ever public investment in the rail network. The plan promises to deliver high speed journeys, but also help places on the existing lines. It will create new journey opportunities, but also serves the places people already want to go. It will also help smaller places as well as big cities and it will connect better with local public transport networks, creating the capacity the rail network needs, in a way that can be delivered. And crucially, there are promises to benefit up to 10 years sooner.

Also committd is a mass transit system for Leeds, one of the biggest cities in Europe without a tram network and over the next three years will install contactless tap-in and tap-out ticketing across commuter networks in the north.

With our footprint in the north, we’re delighted to be hosting our next instalment of Rail North with a black tie networking dinner held at the Queens Hotel, Leeds on 23 June 2022. The evening will bring key figures from the region to discuss the broader investment strategy which will transform the lives of its citizens and their communities. What is certain is that it’s imperative that the focus needs to be on working collaboratively with government, the wider stakeholder community and the supply chain to implement the Strategic Transport Plan for the North.

With keynote presentations and a panel discussion, the event will provide first hand information and assist you with he information to position your company to take advantage of the many opportunities the project will bring
