Karl Budge
Regional Director of Infrastructure Projects Scotland and North East division (Network Rail)
Karl is a Fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineers, has a contracting background and previously managed his own heavy engineering business. Appointed to the role of Regional Director for Network Rail’s Infrastructure Projects Scotland and North East division in early 2016, Karl leads a diverse team delivering a £750 million portfolio of multi-disciplinary projects each year.
On-going major projects include the Edinburgh to Glasgow Improvement Programme, Stirling/ Dunblane/ Alloa, Shotts Electrification, Aberdeen to Inverness enhancements, Waverley Station platform extension and Queen Street Station redevelopment. Karl is an avid British Lions fan and diary permitting, is known to travel to support the team.
