
Alexia Course
With over 20 years of extensive knowledge in the railway industry and a decade of experience at director level, Alexia Course serves as the Chief Commercial Officer for Transport for Wales (TfW).
Throughout her career Alexia has demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing large teams across various functions, including commercial and procurement, programme management, commercial property, frontline operations, station management, and customer service.
At TfW, she leads a team of over 400 professionals responsible for all commercial functions, encompassing revenue management (both farebox and non-farebox), procurement, commercial contracts, procurement, supply chain, commercial property, and government operational service contracts with the objective of delivering multi-modal change and efficiencies across the business.
She also oversees TfW’s investment and enhancement schemes, reducing the organisations reliance on government subsidy, and the delivery of the circa. £800 million transformation of the TfW rail service through introducing new rolling stock.
In addition, Alexia also serves on the board of TfW’s various subsidiary businesses, including TfW Rail Ltd, Pullman Rail Ltd, TfW Innovation Services Ltd and TfW Fibre Ltd.
