About Rail Scotland Conference 2026

Dress Code: Business Wear

The Rail Scotland Conference returns for its eighth year on 5 March 2026, bringing stakeholders and the supply chain together to examine the future of Scotland’s rail network. With reform, resilience, and climate response at the heart of the agenda, the event provides a platform for strategic updates, technical insights, and collaborative learning.

Keynote contributions from the Cabinet Secretary for Transport and senior figures at Transport Scotland and Network Rail will outline current reform priorities, including fleet renewal, procurement, and decarbonisation. Panel discussions will explore what structural reform means in practice, how resilience is being built into the network, and what lessons can be drawn from UK-wide delivery models.

Technical sessions and case studies — including the Eastriggs rail cluster and private sector innovations — will showcase approaches to regional delivery, climate adaptation, and operational efficiency. Throughout the day, delegates will engage with suppliers, delivery bodies, and policy leads to share knowledge, align on challenges, and shape the next phase of rail transformation.

The conference continues to serve as a focal point for Scotland’s rail sector — supporting reform, enabling collaboration, and driving progress toward a more resilient, low-carbon future.

The day consists of keynote presentations, panel discussions and an exhibitor zone for suppliers to promote solutions to our stakeholders. For more information on how you can get involved email enquiry@peloton-events.co.uk, or contact 0161 519 8950.
