Steven McMahon
Head of Rail Strategy & Funding (Transport Scotland)
Steven joined Transport Scotland in 2006 as an Economic Adviser having previously held various economist roles with the Scottish and UK Government. In 2010 he was appointed Head of Rail Strategy and Funding with responsibility for leading Transport Scotland’s input to the periodic review process, developing and implementing the Scottish Government’s strategy for rail , building strategic relations with the ORR and Network Rail, rail performance, regulatory policy and finance, rail industry structures and reform, rail freight, European rail policy, and the overall funding of Transport Scotland’s rail infrastructure and services programme.
