Simon Middleton

Simon has over 22 years’ experience in the rail and infrastructure industry and is responsible for AECOM’s Eastern Region Rail Business, where he leads a team of 50 multi-disciplinary rail designers and has a genuine passion for supporting and leading rail schemes that will deliver regional benefits.

Simon is at the front end of emerging industry changes in the approach to project development and delivery that will drive better value for money and faster delivery through challenging established industry processes. He has project experience of leading the adoption of Project SPEED (Swift, Pragmatic, Efficient Enhancements Delivery) and applying the principles of PACE (Project Acceleration in a Controlled Environment).
