Paul Salveson
Co-Ordinator (Rail Reform Group)
Paul is a visiting professor at the universities of Huddersfield and Bolton and chairs the South-East Lancashire Community Rail partnership. He is co-ordinator of the Rail Reform Group and runs his own publishing business, Lancashire Loominary. He started his railway career at Horwich Loco Works in 1974 and worked as a guard and signalman in the Bolton area. He set up the ‘Community Rail’ movement in the 1990s and led the Association of Community Rail Partnerships (now Community Rail Network) for many years before taking up a senior management role in the rail industry, advising on community engagement policy and practice.
