Lynne Garner

Lynne Garner is Regional Asset Manager, for Track, for Scotland’s Railway. In this role she shapes the Track strategy and leads the development and management of the prioritised investment workbank. Balancing funds across safety, performance, sustainability and betterment. She is technical lead for Track across the Region, providing support to Maintenance and Operations. This role sees her responsible for identifying innovations and change that can support the betterment of Track Asset Management.

She is a chartered engineer and a fellow of the Permanent Way Institution (PWI), holding a first class Civil Engineering degree. In 2024 Lynne worked towards a Post Graduate Award in Strategic Leadership. Lynne has 24 years of experience in the rail industry. Her career has been diverse spanning maintenance, construction, change programmes and asset management.
