Lucy Jacques
Lucy has over twelve years’ experience working in a wide range of roles covering policy development, stakeholder engagement, public affairs, research and providing local and national policy analysis and advice.
Lucy has an exceptional track record in leading policy and strategy development across a range of specialisms including transport, regeneration and economic growth, skills and innovation. Having worked across the public and private sector primarily in the North of England, Lucy believes that the historic challenges of left-behind towns and under-performing cities can be addressed by clear and aligned economic and transport policies and strategies, that empower local leaders to be bold and encourage the private sector to invest.
In her current role as Acting Head of Policy & Strategy at Transport for the North (TfN), Lucy is responsible for leading the developing of TfN’s second Strategic Transport Plan which brings together transport, economic, social, and environmental factors into one clear high-level vision for the North. Most recently Lucy has led the development of a series of policy positions across a broad spectrum of areas including Active Travel, Spatial Planning, Multi-modal hubs, Rural Mobility, and international connectivity.
