Luana Salles

Managing Editor, Peloton

With more than four years of experience in writing about the transport industry, Luana joined the Peloton team at the start of 2019 to help expand the company beyond events and into the publishing realm.

Since coming onboard, she has launched two magazines, Tangent and Cityscape, about the rail industry and smart cities respectively. Tangent’s ultra-modern twist on an industry that is often perceived as traditional and old-fashioned helped shine a light on the genuinely innovative initiatives taking place in the sector, as well as on the diverse and forward-thinking group of people responsible for delivering them.

As well as transport, Luana has extensive experience in reporting on public affairs, healthcare and technology, having interviewed some of the biggest names in government and across the private sector for several B2B publications.

Prior to becoming a business journalist, Luana studied journalism at the University of Sheffield and amassed industry experience with stints at the BBC, Johnston Press, and in Brazil’s largest media conglomerate, Grupo Abril.
