Liam Ryan

Liam is responsible for Atkins’ Strategic Highways business in Wales, covering their design and consultancy work for clients such as Welsh Government, Transport for Wales, SWTRA, and design-and-build highways contractors. A Chartered Civil Engineer with experience working in both the public and private sectors, Liam spent the first half of his career in bridge engineering, before progressing into management roles including project management, business management and business development. Having worked in both the rail and road sectors, Liam has a keen interest in how transport, innovation, people and the environment interact, and the associated benefits/impacts for our society.
