Jonathan Foster-Clark

Jonathan Foster-Clark is a director specialising in Net Zero transport policy in the transportation business at Atkins. He has 30 years of experience in transport consultancy, advising on issues across all modes. In recent years he has specialised in transport policy, strategy and plans, sustainability issues, transport and economic growth, social inclusion and Net Zero strategies.

Jonathan is leading work with authorities across the UK in developing their transport decarbonisation strategies, including supporting authorities across England with the development of a Transport Decarbonisation Playbook, which benchmarks the impacts of different transport policies on carbon emissions. He has also recently worked with Network Rail in assessing the economic benefits of decarbonising rail freight across the UK, for both the freight sector itself and the wider economy.
