Jane Austin

I am a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineering with 26 years experience in the Railway industry.  My experience combines engineering, particularly track and civils, and to this engineering capability I add my project and programme management experience.

I am currently Head of Engineering for Network Rail for Western & Wales where we have been delivering a complex programme of £7 billion of engineering works for electrification, taking 12 miles of existing electrification to 189 miles with a new signalling system and introduction of a new automised distribution system. This also includes the works for Crossrail, the new station at Reading and day to day delivery of the renewals workbank.
