David Bly
David Bly has been at the forefront of property damage management for Housing Associations for over 30 years. In recent years David has used his expertise to create a number of monitoring and analysis systems to investigate moister, ventilation, atmospheric and insulation issues within properties. These Property MOT® are dedicated to finding the root cause of potentially life-threatening issues within properties.
Each Property MOT® is all-encompassing and evaluates respective aspects of a property both internally and externally. The platform consists of Ventilation MOT, Moisture MOT, Insulation MOT and Atmospheric MOT. All surveyed elements align to existing Building regulations and applicable British Standards assisting landlords and property owners in upholding the health of a structure in line with all current statutory requirements. Trained and certified surveyors will enter data alongside a traffic light grading system for each applicable survey with Advisories in the application for any issues observed.
Understanding the issues that can plague housing stock, which can lead to huge disrepair clams, such as mould and poor ventilation, David is keen to see the use of early monitoring systems within the social housing stock. This system would not only ensure a safer future for tenants but would support House Associations in the UK in reaching its Net Zero Aims.
