Andrew Hunt
Andrew Hunt leads delivery of Oldham Council’s Green New Deal programme, which was the first such local authority programme in the UK when it was adopted in March 2020. The Oldham Green New Deal programme focuses on capturing the economic and social benefits of action on climate change, and a key aspect of the programme is the decarbonisation of housing. Oldham Council is a partner in the Interreg North West Europe RED WoLF (Rethink Electricity Distribution Without Load Following) project, and is piloting a new hybrid electrical heating system in 19 social homes at Primrose Bank in Oldham. Andrew will be presenting the RED WoLF heating system, results from the pilots so far, and how the system can help local authorities and developers meet their zero carbon requirements in new build homes.
