Alex Warner

Principal: Milton Keynes College, and member of the Milton Keynes College (MKC) Executive Leadership Team. Alex has worked in Further and Higher Education for over a decade and, prior to joining MKC, was Director of Faculty of Technology at Activate Learning, a South Central Institute of Technology delivery partner. As such, Alex has been involved with the SCIoT project since initial bidding stage and now leads on all aspects of design, development and delivery of the 3-campus-location institute. In addition to the SCIoT role, Alex also Chairs the IoT National Network Curriculum group. Curriculum innovation and pedagogy are where Alex’s passion and enthusiasm lie and this has led to the SCIoT developing a brand new Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ) and DfE/ IfATE HTQ Kitemark submission for approval. Alex is passionate about new approaches to learning to aid inclusivity, which mirrors the MK College Group’s purpose to create ‘fairer futures’ for all. The purpose of the SCIoT is to ‘Inspire Digital Futures’. Furthermore, SCIoT Values are to; Include, Innovate, Connect and Challenge. These are lived through all that Alex and the SCIoT do.
