A region bursting with talent and economic potential, the major project that is the East-West Rail link connects the Oxford-Cambridge arc and drives forward one of the most innovative and exciting areas in the country, including the upcoming works on the Central Section of the route, which has almost unanimous support from councils, MPs, LEPs and Chambers of Commerce.

Last year in the Autumn Spending Review, the government declared the rail link as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project, placing the route at the top of the nation’s priorities to accelerate development in the region. In March, the East West Rail Company published its official short-term Invitation to Tender for self-powering rolling stock units. East West Rail Company is also seeking specialist partners for management systems integration and engineering management, amongst other specialisms.
