David Beer BA (Hons) DipM MCIM CMILT

David is an experienced consumer advocate with over 45 years’ experience within the transport industry, including more than 15 years at independent watchdog Transport Focus, promoting user interests.

He leads our work in Wales, building key relationships across national and local government, transport industry and passenger groups; and has a leading role working with bus stakeholders across Britain – raising issues, providing challenge and holding to account from an evidence base to influence policy and investment and drive positive improvements for passengers.

Prior to joining Transport Focus, David held a number of roles at Greater Manchester PTE (now TfGM), including senior responsibility for passenger information. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
